DermaPen Needling

DermaPen4® is an advanced skin needling treatment designed to support the skin's natural renewal processes. Using a device fitted with fine, sterile needles, controlled micro-channels are created within the skin to stimulate the skin's natural repair response.

Skin needling may be considered as part of a personalised treatment plan for a range of skin concerns, including the appearance of fine lines, acne scarring, enlarged pores, uneven skin texture and certain types of pigmentation. Treatment recommendations are based on a comprehensive skin assessment and your individual skin goals.

What to Expect

Your appointment begins with a thorough skin consultation where we will:

• Discuss your skin concerns and treatment goals.

• Assess your skin and determine whether skin needling is appropriate for you.

• Explain the treatment process, expected recovery, potential benefits and possible risks.

• Develop a personalised treatment plan, including recommendations for home skincare where appropriate.

During treatment, a topical anaesthetic may be applied to improve comfort. The procedure typically takes 45–60 minutes, depending on the treatment area.

Following treatment, your skin may appear red and feel warm, similar to a mild sunburn. Mild swelling, sensitivity and dryness are also common and generally settle over the following few days.

As skin renewal occurs gradually, multiple treatments may be recommended depending on your individual skin concerns and clinical assessment.

How to Prepare

To prepare for your appointment:

• Arrive with clean skin, free from makeup where possible.

• Avoid excessive sun exposure and tanning in the days leading up to treatment.

• Discontinue active skincare ingredients, such as retinoids or exfoliating acids, for several days beforehand if advised by your clinician.

• Inform your clinician if you have an active skin infection, cold sores, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have recently used isotretinoin, or have any medical conditions that may affect healing.

After Your Treatment

Following your procedure, your clinician will provide personalised aftercare instructions to support your skin during the healing process. This may include:

• Keeping the skin clean and well hydrated.

• Avoiding excessive heat, strenuous exercise and swimming for the first 24–48 hours.

• Using sun protection daily and avoiding direct sun exposure while the skin heals.

• Following the recommended skincare routine provided by your clinician.
